Northwestern Water and Sewer District Projects
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, – The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (The District) delivers water and sewer services to over 19,000 customers in Wood, Sandusky, and Hancock counties. Although many of our construction and maintenance projects are performed underground, our utility work can impact roads throughout our service area. The District will announce updates and when additional projects are under contract. Updates and additions are highlighted in bold and underlined.
Lake Township – Pump Station Improvements *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Restoration work involving lane restrictions on Cummings Road between SR 795 and Hanley Road is now complete.
McComb: Waterline Improvements *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Restoration work for waterline improvements on Todd, Scott, South and High Streets in McComb is now complete.
Middleton and Plain Townships – Potter Road Waterline Installation *UPDATE*
Through May, restoration work will continue on Potter Road from Poe Road to Long-Judson Road with minimal impact to traffic. Project complete: May.
Millbury – Sanitary Sewer Improvements
Through June, short-term, intermittent lane restrictions are possible throughout the Village of Millbury for sewer work and manhole repairs. Project complete: June.
Northwood and Perrysburg & Lake Townships – East Broadway Sewer Maintenance *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Work on East Broadway Street between Walbridge and Wales Roads for sewer maintenance is now complete
Perrysburg Township – Hamlet Waterline Replacement
Through June, short-term intermittent lane restrictions and closures are possible in the Hamlet subdivision for waterline installation and restoration work. Local access will be maintained. Project complete: August.
Perrysburg Township – Sanitary Sewer Improvements
Through October, short-term intermittent lane restrictions are possible throughout Perrysburg Township, north of SR 795, for sewer work and manhole repair. Project complete: October.
Rossford – Buck and Lime City Road Water Line Relocation and Improvements *UPDATE*
Through May, short-term, intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Buck Road between I-75 and Lime City Road and on Lime City Road between I -75 and Marilyn Drive for restoration work. Project complete: May.
Various Townships – Water Line Installation *PROJECT COMPELTE*
Work on Rosendale Road, between Jerry City and Cygnet Road for waterline installation is now complete.
Weston – Waterline Project *UPDATE*
Through May, short-term intermittent lane restrictions are possible on Silver Street between Sugar Lane and Euler Street for restoration. Project complete: June.
Weston – Pump Station Project *UPDATE*
Through May, intermittent, short-term lane restrictions are possible on Main Street, between Russ Street and Weston Road for restorations. Project complete: May.
Liberty Township – Bulk Water Station Closure
Through May, The District Bulk Water station at Bays Road near I-75 is closed for water tower painting. For alternative Bulk Water Stations, click here.

The New Mobile-Friendly NWWSD.ORG
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, – The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (The District) announces the redesign of its website, nwwsd.org. The site offers a variety of enhancements including improved mobile accessibility, easier bill pay, and simplified contact information.
“The new site is user and mobile friendly, with a clean, simple format,” said Theresa Pollick, District Public Information Officer. “Our goal is to make working with us simple, to help our customers, contractors, and vendors take care of business with us efficiently.”
Regular users will instantly notice changes to the layout, design, menus, navigation, and search functions as well as improvements to the customer service section of the website. During the planning phases, improvements were designed based on website analytics along with customer and employee feedback.
The new design puts customers first with a bill pay option and contact information highlighted on every page. The page headers also include links to customer service, who we are, what we do, working with us, a media center and FAQ’s.

Northwestern Water and Sewer District Open House
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, – The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (The District) would like to invite you to attend our annual open house, on Sunday, May 6, from 1pm until 4pm.
The open house serves as a way for The District to show it’s appreciation for our 19,800 customers in Wood, Hancock and Sandusky counties.
The event features tours that teach how we keep Northwestern Ohio’s water clean. It’s a family friendly event featuring food, games, a fishing derby, bounce houses, tractor pull, giveaways and more!
The event will also include a presentation at 2pm, featuring a discussion on regional water and current state of The District.
