BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, – This GivingTuesday, which takes place tomorrow, December 1, The Northwestern Water and Sewer District will inspire generosity by encouraging donations to our Pay It Forward Program throughout the month of December.
The District’s Pay-It-Forward program accepts donations from our customers and others for use by the Salvation Army to underwrite the payment of past due utility bills for customers in financial distress. So far, approximately 40 local households have benefitted from the program.
“We have had great participation thanks to our generous customers. With the holiday season approaching, we hope you consider donating,” said Jerry Greiner, President of the Northwestern Water and Sewer District.
GivingTuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past nine years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
