Customer Notice: Middleton Township
9/15/2017. Filed under Press Releases.
Customer notice for residents of Riverbend, Saddlebrook, Hull Prairie Meadows, and surrounding Middleton Township. The Northwestern Water & Sewer District was recently made aware of a flyer that has been distributed regarding water pressure.
The letter reads: “ATTENTION NORTHWESTERN WATER DISTRICT CUSTOMERS”
The notice was distributed by the Perrysburg Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning and states, “The most common source of excessive water pressure is the municipal water supplier. The water company sets the pressure to meet their own needs, such as delivering water to fire hydrants, high elevation buildings, and other reasons. This water pressure is often well over 100psi, and too often over 150 psi.”
This is not true for water pressure within our system.
Water pressure is continuously monitored throughout our entire system. The District water pressure remains steady at 75 psi in Middleton Township and surrounding areas. This measurement is standard for a public water system.
While we encourage routine plumbing maintenance for homeowners, The District does not support the above-stated data in this letter regarding water pressure.
Please share this information with fellow residents. Thank you.
