Lead Service Waterlines Replaced in Northwood & Rossford

Bowling Green, Ohio

The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (The District) announces that today, the final lead service line was replaced in the City of Northwood. In December, The District began work on a $900,000 project to remove over 300 identified lead service lines throughout our service area. The areas identified with lead service lines were all located primarily in the City of Rossford and the City of Northwood.

“This is a great improvement for The District’s water infrastructure in the communities of Northwood and Rossford,” said District Board Chairman Mark Schaffer.

While the lead service lines have been replaced, crews will continue to work on restoration work including concrete and asphalt road repair, landscaping, and meter pit replacement. For more information go to the lead page.
