BOWLING GREEN, Ohio— Wood County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) was recently notified by CodeRED, the county’s contracted mass notification services vendor, that CodeRED experienced a national cybersecurity incident. As a result, the CodeRED platform is currently unable to issue alerts and notifications.
Because of this outage, The Northwestern Water and Sewer District is also unable to send CodeRED alerts for boil notices and other water and sewer related emergencies until the system is restored.
During this disruption of CodeRED notification services, The District encourages customers to:
- Check www.nwwsd.org for water boil advisories.
- Follow The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (@nwwsd) on social media.
- Check for door tag notifications if you notice water service issues.
The District will continue to work with the Wood County EMA, which is working directly with CodeRED to ensure the public is informed of any pertinent updates.
