Henry County Waterline Update

In July, The District will complete the $5.8 million Henry County Regional Waterline project. The waterline extends from the Village of Weston, west to the Village of McClure, then north along SR 65, across the Maumee River, then west along CR 424, connecting to the Village of Liberty Center.
According to District Engineer, Tom Stalter, "This new waterline provides a long-term and affordable water supply for McClure, Liberty Center, and surrounding areas.
Now that construction is complete, District crews are changing the water supply from Napoleon water to water supplied by the City of Bowling Green. Residents will be notified by letter with additional information including steps to prevent possible cloudiness and discoloration that may be caused by changes in pressure and direction of flow.
The total project cost is $5.8 million. Funding for part of the project is from $4.99 million United States Department of Agriculture low interest loan. Construction began in the spring of 2022.
Harmful Algal Blooms
Every summer, The District and our water service providers monitor water quality for Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB's). The District receives regular updates from our water providers including Toledo, Oregon, Bowling Green, Perrysburg, Fostoria, and Napoleon to ensure your water is safe. For more information on HAB's or other water quality concerns go to nwwsd.org.
