June Waterworks Newsletter

Water Quality Report Available Online

Every day, The District provides nearly 6 million gallons of safe drinking water to customers across four counties, drawing from seven water providers through 458 miles of pipe. We value transparency and share our annual water quality reports called Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs). These reports are required by the EPA for all public water systems. They offer details about your water quality, sources, and other important information. CCRs are released with data from the previous calendar year. Lead Waterline Identification Update

In March 2024, the Ohio EPA updated its regulations to require the material of all public waterlines to be identified and all lead service lines to be removed by 2037. The District has been proactively working since 2018 to identify and remove lead waterlines. In 2024, over 1,000 waterlines were identified. This year, The District will launch another identification project involving small excavations near curbs and sidewalks. Effected homeowners will receive advance notifications before work begins. Once all waterlines are identified, The District will design a comprehensive plan to remove remaining lead service lines. Updates will be shared in upcoming newsletters. Currently, 90% of The District’s 20,000 customer accounts have been identified, but more work remains. Homeowners can also check their own waterlines, and report their material online, avoiding excavation. To learn more about our waterline identification project, CLICK HERE.

Construction Impacts at The District

Construction near our main office at 12560 Middleton Pike is affecting driveway access. If coming from SR 582, visitors should use the roundabout, head north, and turn left into our new driveway, then left again for customer parking. Please do not enter the gated area-this is for employees and deliveries only.

In June, expect more construction vehicles due to the Meta Data Center project. Our office remains open. To avoid delays, you can pay online, by phone, or use our drop box in the parking area. Thank you for your patience!

Open House Update

Due to ongoing construction near our office and related safety concerns, we’ve made the tough decision to cancel this year’s open house. We know this event is a favorite for many. Your safety comes first, and we appreciate your understanding. Stay tuned for updates on our progress, and we can’t wait to welcome you back next time!
