BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Northwestern Water and Sewer District (The District) delivers water and sewer services to over 20,000 customers in Wood, Henry, Sandusky, and Hancock counties. Although many of our projects are underground, our utility work can impact water and sewer service and roads throughout our area. Updates are highlighted in bold and underlined.

Through November, SR 582 is closed just east of our office at 12560 Middleton Pike. Access to The District office is maintained from SR 25 to SR 582. The WaterShed and after-hours drop box are closed temporarily. Please use caution while visiting The District’s offices.
McClure: Waterline Replacement Project
Through December, intermittent lane restrictions are possible throughout the Village of McClure for waterline installation. Project investment: $1.7 million. Project complete: May 2025.
Middleton and Center Township: SR 582/Dunbridge Water and Sewer Project
*NEW PROJECT*
Effective Monday, November 11 through December 2025, shoulder restrictions are possible in Dunbridge and along Dunbridge Road from SR 582 to Poe Road for clearing work. Project investment: $13.1 million. Project complete: December 2025.
Northwood: Farnstead Waterline Replacement
Lane restrictions are possible on Farnstead Road for meter pit installation and finish work through November. Project investment: $978,000. Project complete: November.
Perrysburg Township: Lime City Road Waterline
Through January 2025 Lime City Road, between US 20 and Deimling Road is closed for waterline and storm sewer installation. Detour: Deimling Road to Crossroads Parkway to US 20. Local access is maintained. Additionally, through June 2025, shoulder restrictions are possible on Lime City Road from SR 795 to US 20 for waterline installation. Project investment: $2.2 million. Project complete: June.
Perrysburg Township: Starbright Sewer Rehabilitation
Through December, intermittent lane restrictions are possible throughout the Starbright subdivision for sewer rehabilitation. Project investment: $863,000. Project complete: May.
Portage: Water Main Replacement
Through February, SR 25 in the Village of Portage may be reduced to one lane in each direction for waterline work. Project investment: $1.4 million. Project complete: April.
Rossford: Grassy Creek Sewer Lining Project
Through December, lane restrictions are possible on Dixie Highway between Eagle Point Road and Rossway Avenue for sewer lining. Project investment: $934,000. Project complete: May.
Rossford: Dixie Highway Waterline Replacement *PROJECT COMPLETE*
Waterline replacement work on Dixie Highway, between Eagle Point Road and Rosway Avenue is complete. Project investment: $212,000. Project complete: November.
Rossford: Various Streets Waterline Project
Through November, intermittent road closures and lane restrictions are possible on Rosedale Place, Island View Drive, Maybar Drive, Schreier Road, Elm Tree Road, Rossway Avenue, and Bergin Street for finish work. Local access is maintained. Project investment: $2 million. Project complete: December.
District Hydrant Flushing *WORK COMPLETE*
Hydrant flushing throughout The District service area is now complete. Crews will return in the spring of 2025.
