SR 582 TO CLOSE BUT, BUT WE'RE OPEN!
On Monday, September 9th through November, The Wood County Port Authority is scheduled to start a project involving the closure of SR 582, just east of The District’s main office at 12560 Middleton Pike. This project will involve constructing a roundabout and a new access road for future development north and east of The District’s main headquarters.
Our main office will remain open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The Watershed and night deposit box will remain open 24/7 during the closure of SR 582. You can access our building by using State Route 25 to SR 582. The official detour is I-75 to I-475 to State Route 25.
We realize this may be an inconvenience to some of our visitors. If you prefer to avoid the work zone, feel free to pay your bill online, set up automatic withdrawal, pay by phone at 1-877-354-9090 Option 8, or send a check by mail. The closure of SR 582 is expected to continue through November. Please follow us on social media @NWWSD for the latest update on this work. NATIONAL PREPAREDNESS MONTH
Our team of highly trained, licensed, and skilled professional operators is dedicated to delivering top-notch water and sewer service 24/7/365, no matter the conditions. As part of National Preparedness Month, we wanted to remind you of the importance of having enough water on hand to protect you and your family.
FEMA & Ready.gov advise you to prepare for a disaster that may impact your water supply.
- Determine your water needs: It is recommended that you store a several day supply, one gallon of water per person per day, for drinking and sanitation. Children, nursing mothers, and those with medical conditions may need more.
- Purchase bottled water or food-grade storage containers and store in a cool, dark place.
For a complete list of disaster supplies go to www.ready.gov. Creating a disaster preparedness plan is the best way to ensure the safety and well-being of your loved ones.
