Call Before You Dig
As many homeowners begin their spring planting and projects, we ‘want to remind you to please call 811 before you dig.
“People don't realize how important it is to take this step before any dirt is moved," says Bill Tuttle, District Sanitary Technician. Tuttle added, “our water and sewer lines have been damaged by anything from people digging fenceposts to contractors boring for larger jobs."
This year, the Ohio Utilities Protection Service, formerly OUPS, is doing business as Ohio811. As long as you call 811, Monday - through Friday, 48 hours ahead of breaking ground, District technicians will go to your property and mark the location of water and sewer lines.

New Website
In April, The District launched its new, mobile-friendly website. Many of our customers prefer the improvements, while some are still getting used to the new format.
Our goal in the redesign was to make Using our services and getting information easier, especially from your mobile phone. The new site also has an emergency feature that will display information such as boil notices and other water and sewer issues.
Open House Success
The District wants to thank all of you who attended our annual open house. This year was a great success and we appreciate those who took the time ‘on a Sunday afternoon to meet our great staff and learn more about how we take care of our number one resource, our water! If you were not able to come, The district presented the latest information regarding regional water.

District Board of Trustees Meetings are held on the second and fourth Thursday of every month at 7:30 am Board meetings are open to the public.

Millbury- Semer Work
Through June, lane restrictions are possible in Millbury for sewer work and manhole repairs,
Perrysburg Towns /Rossford-Waterline Replacement
Through September, lane restrictions are possible on Vineyard Drive, White Road & Riverbend Court for waterline replacement
Perrysburg Township-The Hamlet Subdivision
Through September, lane restrictions are possible in the Hamlet subdivision for waterline replacement
Perrysburg Township- Sanitary Sewer Repair
Through July, lane restrictions are possible in Perrysburg Township for sewer repair.
Weston - Waterline Project
Through June, lane restrictions are possible along Silver Street in Weston for waterline installation. Lane restrictions are also possible on Main Street for pump station repair.
Lead Service Lines
The District is leading the state with the first project in Ohio to remove lead service lines from its system. Work will soon begin on an $883,000 project to remove all 322 lead service lines owned and maintained by The District. The lines are located in portions of Rossford land the Northwood Homecraft areas.
Last year, The District identified properties with known lead service lines and posted the findings in map form online. The District's Board passed a resolution in January approving the project to remove the lead. According to Bil Verbosky, who serves on The District Board of Trustees, “The Board felt that approving funding to remove lead service lines from our system was a priority.”
"The District expedited this project and with the support of a low-interest loan from the Ohio EPA, we will be able to replace all of these lines this year,” said Tom Stalter, District Engineer.
The District and the prime contractor Speer Brothers, from Sandusky, Ohio will continue to work closely with the Ohio EPA to ensure all regulations are followed.
