Sealed Bids for Elm Tree Road Water Main & Glenwood Road Sanitary Sewer Improvements, WL-5024, will be received by the Northwestern Water & Sewer District, at the Northwestern Water & Sewer District, 12560 Middleton Pike, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, until 11:00 AM, local time, on June 15, 2023, at which time they will be publicly opened and read.
In general, the work consists of the replacement of approximately 680 feet of existing water main with new 8" along East Elm Tree Road. The work will also include the construction of a new manhole at the connection of the 8-inch sewer from the south to the 18-inch sewer running east and west near the bridge south of Elm Tree Road along Glenwood. The water main replacement work shall also include new fire hydrants, valves and water services including water meters and pits, and restoration of disturbed areas. Existing services are believed to include some lead water services.

Bids must be submitted on the forms bound herein, must contain the names of every person or company interested therein, and shall be accompanied by either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in the amount of 100% of the amount bid with satisfactory corporate surety, or by a certified check on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the amount of the Bid, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance Bond and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid.
The Contractor shall be required to pay not less than the prevailing state wage rates established by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, but no bidder shall withdraw his Bid within 90 days after the actual opening thereof.
